In light of recent events, a lot of our fellow Filipinos were devastated by Typhoon Sendong, their belongings gone in an instant.  Casualties are still being accounted for. An state of calamity was declared.
I would like to do my share to help. Since Christmas is approaching, I would like to appeal to your good heart & support me in my endeavor. This will be my first venture in what I will term as “Charity Run.”

On December 30, 2011, I will be running in the 3rd Rizal Day 32K Run. I will be accepting monetary pledges to help victims of Typhoon Sendong. All pledges will be coursed through the Kapuso Foundation. I will also donate an amount as well.

As we celebrate Christmas, let us share a little amount & help our less fortunate brethren. Give them hope in their time of need. Let them feel that they can weather this challenge in their lives right now. Please…help me help them!!!

Note: Special mention to Bald Runner Jovie Narcise, Race Director of #rd Rizal Day 32K Run

Several years ago, I tore my ACL  (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) during one of my weekly basketball games. It took me more than 5 years to decide to have surgery done to my knee. this was after my friends would limit my playing due to the fact that I was already dragging my foot while playing.

I had my ACL surgery done on October 20, 2009.  After 5 months of rehab, I asked my doctor, Dr. Edgar Eufemio if I could run 3K just to test my knee. He cleared me to run & advised me to do a 5K! I quickly registered for Globe Run 4 Home 2010.  My first 5K happened on March 21, 2010. Then as people will say, the Runner’s Bug hit me.

I continued to join fun runs eventually encouraging my friends to join me. I continued to run longer distances until last October, I decided that I will try to run my first full marathon last March at the THE BULL RUNNER DREAM MARATHON.

As fate would have it, I ran my first full marathon on March 20, 2011 exactly 1 year from the day I started running.

I am still running to this day. This is my running story. What’s yours? Feel free to post!!! I would love to hear from you!
